If you want to get back to the status your computer had prior to your malware infection, and you have a good, full disk backup created by ATI 2019 without any such infection, then you do not need to do a clean install of Windows to recover this. Vic, what files are you trying to recover from your old backup here? This should be limited to only user data, documents etc - you should not attempt to restore such as your old user profile files or any Windows system folders / files, nor application files etc. So, how can I see my previous backup, so I can restore selected files? After I finished the reinstall, I installed True Image 2019 again, plugged in my backup drive, and tried to access the files from my most recent backup. Recently I managed to download some malware, so I decided to entirely scrub my C: drive and reinstall Windows 10 afresh.
I have been using Acronis True Image 20 for about a year now, and make backups about once a week.
